December 8 — Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where transfers will be waiting. We’ll gather for a welcome dinner to meet one another and set the tone for the week ahead before an early night. In the morning, we fly into the Serengeti and adventure begins!

December 9–10 — Southern Serengeti

After breakfast, we’ll hop on a short charter flight into the southern Serengeti. These first two days are all about getting into the safari rhythm—early mornings, long game drives, and golden hour sightings.

December 11–13 — Northern Serengeti

Midweek, we’ll head north to explore a completely different part of the Serengeti. The landscape changes, the wildlife shifts, and every drive feels different. We’ll have extended game drives, a night safari, and a village visit to connect with the local community (one of my favorite parts of the whole trip).

December 14 — Departure

We’ll charter back from the Serengeti to the city, where everyone begins their journey home.

My safari trip to Tanzania with run from routine was absolutely amazing! The entire week was meticulously planned for us with so much attention to detail. Every day there was another surprise and once in a lifetime experience. After doing a safari with run from routine, I wouldn't do a safari any other way! This trip was absolutely worth every penny.

FAQs

What airport will we be flying into?

We will fly into and out of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania (JRO Airport).

Will I have phone service or WiFi?

Wifi will be available at all accommodations.

If you have an international service plan or purchase an eSim for the trip, you may have service at times. However, keep in mind that for the majority of this trip, we will be in the middle of the Serengeti so phone service will be spotty.

Do I need a visa?

Yes. You will need a visa to enter Tanzania. This can be purchased online prior to the trip.

Can I come solo?

Absolutely! This is one of the best types of trips to join solo. The group is intentionally curated and everyone is doing the full experience together.

Are payment plans available?

Yes — payment plan options are available and shared once you inquire.

What’s needed to reserve my spot?

A deposit secures your place. Full details are included in the info packet shared after inquiry.

Is the Hot Air Balloon Safari included?

No — the Hot Air Balloon Safari is an optional experience and is not included in the trip price.

Pricing is typically $500–$600 USD per person and includes the sunrise flight and champagne bush breakfast.
